The Story Behind Jul & Myra
JUL & MYRA brings contemporary street art, fashion and design into one creative universe. Our work begins with stories about the things that make us human: affection, courage, contradiction and the desire to be free. Those stories can take the form of an artwork, a sculptural silhouette, a designer bag or a graphic worn close to the body.
Our characters are tender and rebellious at the same time. Children hold hands or offer flowers. Red balloons become gestures of refusal and solidarity. Weathered colours and expressive marks suggest images that have lived on a wall, carrying a message through time.
Where Art Meets Fashion
A wall and a wardrobe offer different ways to encounter the same idea. In our artworks, narrative scenes and recurring symbols invite a closer look. In our fashion collection, that visual language becomes a question of silhouette, proportion, movement and attitude.
We think of fashion as wearable art. Dresses, tailoring, bags and accessories belong to a wider conversation with contemporary art. A flame can shape a line; a hand can become a signature; the contrast between softness and defiance can give a piece its character.
Our Creative Process
At the heart of our creative process is a connection between a story and a form. What does an image express? Which gesture makes that idea clear? How might it change when it moves from a two-dimensional artwork to an object or a garment?
Creative direction and design are rooted in Geneva. The production side of the project is being developed in Thailand. As the fashion collection takes shape, materials, construction, comfort and the way a piece moves are central to our decisions. The design previews on this site show that work in development; finished specifications and availability will be communicated for each piece.
Designed to Make a Statement
Our approach to high-end design begins with a distinct point of view. Sculptural lines, bold colour relationships and recognisable symbols give the collection its identity. We want the detail to reward a closer look and the overall form to hold its own from across a room.
The raised middle finger and the clenched fist are our recurring red symbols. One expresses refusal and individual freedom; the other suggests determination and shared strength. Together they connect the artworks, the fashion designs and the identity of the house.
Our Rebellions
Our struggles, our rebellions. This phrase connects the creative work to the ideas behind it: freedom, human dignity, solidarity and the protection of childhood. Our Myanmar artworks express support for people facing repression, while our childhood commitment is an ambition we want to translate into practical, documented action.
